Prizegiving 2018

Our last concert of the year was our carol concert and we were lucky enough to have our Patron, Simon O’Neill, join us and perform with the boys and solo – a beautiful and inspiring event for the boys and the audience.

The concert was also our annual prize giving where we award the three trophies presented to us by the Lions Club of Auckland, along with others that have been donated over the years.

Lions Club Cup for Most Musical Contribution – Luke Shackleton

Lions Club Award for High Endeavour – Max Carter

Lions Club Special Award for the chorister showing most development during the year – Joshua Reay

Nan Davis Memorial Cup for the chorister demonstrating the most consistent high standard of behaviour – George Elrick

Richard Dickens Memorial Cup for Attitude – Arun Lamb and Sam Godden

Leonie Lawson Award for Best All Round Chorister – Joseph Bahoo and Charles Adams

The Neil Shroff Cup for Head Chorister – Tejas Lamb

Fraser Faulknor – Queen’s Birthday Honours


Our very own Fraser Faulknor has been recognised in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list with the award of a Queen’s Service Medal for his services to children, education and music. We all know the hours of tireless effort that Fraser puts into Auckland Boys Choir and if you check out his profile on his website you’ll realise just how much else he has achieved in these fields during his life.
