Key People

Parent Liaison

The Choir relies on a high level of parent involvement to support its various activities and performances during the year. The Board of Management is a parent elected group and meets once a month to oversee the running of the Choir.
In addition, parents of the boys assist on camps and tours, at performances and with fundraising, promotion, catering and carpooling.

Parent Liaison: Salil Bose

Salil is a proud parent of a current Auckland Boys’ Choir chorister and is delighted to be joining the Board as Parent Liaison. Like many choir parents, he’s enjoyed the rehearsals, performances, and the wonderful sense of community that comes with being part of the Choir.

He brings over 17 years of professional experience in medical scientific publishing and the pharmaceutical sector. He has held senior leadership roles managing teams, complex projects, and stakeholder engagement across international organisations.

Outside of work Salil enjoys being involved in the community – whether that’s coaching junior cricket at a local Auckland cricket club or helping out with the Choir’s social media. He’s passionate about supporting young people as they build confidence, develop their talents, and have fun along the way.

As Parent Liaison, Salil is looking forward to connecting with families, hearing your ideas and feedback, and helping ensure the Choir continues to be a positive and enjoyable experience for all our boys and their whānau.

Feel free to say hello at rehearsals or events – I’m always happy for a chat.
